Job summary

Woolpert invites applications for a Construction Inspector to join our CE&I team in Austin, TX. The role supports construction of public and private infrastructure, coordinating with engineers and project managers to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities include inspections, quality control, and reporting; requires 5–10+ years’ experience, a construction management background, and OSHA 10. Travel to sites and driving are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Construction Management degree or 5–10+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with inspections, methods, and materials in construction projects.
• Knowledge of contract administration and pay estimates.

Responsibilities

• Manage inspections of construction projects and materials for codes and plans.
• Review and interpret construction documents, site drawings, and specifications.
• Produce daily and weekly reports and maintain quantity tracking.
• Coordinate with contractors on test failures and site issues.
• Lead in quality control and assurance within area of expertise.
