Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector for an Atlanta, GA project. The role involves field oversight of roadway and bridge construction, daily site visits, and QA/QC reporting to ensure compliance with contract specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher with 3+ years roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Thorough knowledge of highway/bridge specs, materials, and practices.
• Ability to read complex construction plans and reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document deficiencies in roadway and bridge construction and communicate adjustments for contract compliance.
• Conduct daily site visits to monitor work-in-progress and ensure materials/workmanship meet specifications.
• Mentor and review work of junior team members for QA and best practices.
• Provide specialized inspections and written reports for bridge construction and OV activities.
• Supervise junior technicians performing OV audits and inspections.
• Act as SME on Developer activities including remediation and repair reviews.
• Monitor on-site construction and inspect materials per plans, specs, and special provisions.
• Perform oversight inspection and verification of materials sampling and testing per CQAP.
• Attend pre-activity meetings and coordinate with IQF to resolve issues.
• Ensure material certification requirements are met for Final Acceptance.
• Perform contract administrative duties and maintain required documentation.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology

Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology

High school diploma or equivalent
