Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector in Atlanta, GA to assist senior inspectors with construction oversight and inspection duties at roadway and bridge sites.

The position requires planning review, documentation, and adherence to safety standards, with a home base in Atlanta. GDOT certifications and a valid US driver's license are preferred and may be obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related and two years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Associate degree with five years inspection experience.
• High school diploma with seven years inspection experience.
• Certification tests within 6 months: GDOT CIE Training Group 1, GDOT WECS, GDOT Field Concrete Technician, GSWCC Level 1a.
• Certifications from other agencies may substitute.
• Proficiency reading construction documents and specs.
• Valid US Driver's License required.

Responsabilités

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality standards and specs.
• Conduct field audits of developer and ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage for conformance to project requirements.
• Observe and support verification of materials sampling/testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold safety practices in all construction activities.
