Arcadis U.S.Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team on projects for the Port Authority of NY and NJ in the tri-state area. This full-time role may include occasional overtime to meet project milestones.

You will conduct daily inspections, supervise construction activities, ensure safety and permit compliance, and coordinate with contractors, Resident Engineers, and facility personnel to keep work on track.

Formación

• Minimum of 10 years of experience inspecting construction work ranging from $500K to $5M.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs and contract documents.
• Must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge and pass security checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing daily reports, inspection reports, and contract documentation.
• Experience reviewing contractor payment applications and documenting extra work.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, Resident Engineers, and facility personnel.
• Working knowledge of construction safety requirements.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willing to work weekends and night shifts when required.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct daily inspections and supervise construction activities for safety and permit compliance.
• Coordinate with city agencies and JFK Operations for shut downs and closures.
• Prepare daily narratives, inspection reports, time-and-material records, and unit price docs.
• Review plans for constructability and provide comments.
• Review contractor payment requests and recommend reasonableness.
• Coordinate inspections at multiple work locations.
• Perform quality assurance inspections of completed work.
• Verify compliance with safety requirements.
• Identify potential extra work and notify the Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer.
