Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Inspections Manager to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project in a full-time, on-site role in Secaucus, NJ. You will lead a team of construction inspectors, ensure compliance with contract documents, and coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate risks and drive quality across the project.

The role emphasizes field supervision, QA/QC, and documentation to meet federal, state, and local requirements on a high-profile transportation initiative.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of heavy highway/bridge/roadway inspection experience.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with project documentation software and reading complex engineering plans and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction inspection team and mentor staff.
• Conduct field visits and QA/QC reviews of inspection staff.
• Ensure construction activities comply with contract plans, specifications, standards, permits and applicable codes.
• Review inspector documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Coordinate with inspection staff, RE, contractors, utility companies and other stakeholders to resolve field issues.
• Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or construction risks.
• Promote consistent use of all required safety practices and quality standards.
• Support project close-out activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and record documentation.
