Job summary

Infrastructure Engineering Inc is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to join our team for the JFK Airport project with the Port Authority of NY & NJ. The role requires independent judgment, extensive field inspection experience, and strong report writing.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, review plans, oversee inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and contract provisions while coordinating with various facility personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 10 years of experience inspecting construction work at various scales.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and documents.
• Must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge and pass security checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection activities across all project phases.
• Prepare daily narratives, inspection reports, time records, and unit price data.
• Coordinate inspections at multiple locations with JFK operations staff.
• Review plans for constructability and comment on issues.
• Oversee contractor payment requests and change orders.
• Ensure safety and compliance with regulations on site.
