Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration is seeking a General Estimator to lead estimates across residential, commercial, and industrial lines. You will create and manage complex estimates using Xactimate, meet with clients, and oversee work through completion while maintaining budgets and timelines.

The role serves large loss insurance adjusters, brokers and commercial clients, expanding to regional markets and national clientele as needed. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 plus years' experience in Construction, Restoration or Contents Estimating.
• Residential estimating >$50,000 and Commercial estimating >$100,000.
• Successful completion of BELFOR Estimating Platform Level 2 user certification.
• Advanced Xactimate training class prep for Level 3 with 90% score.
• English literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-sketches with multi-levels and/or roof sketches with accuracy.
• Create accurate scopes with minimal over/under scopes.
• Create accurate floor plans and multi-level/roof sketches in Xactimate Sketch.
• Must have working knowledge of applicable building codes.
• Create and adhere to budgets and address overages as they present themselves.
• Use the BELFOR naming convention for estimates, revised estimates, proposals, change orders, etc.
• Maintain a construction schedule and coordinate with trades to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate proficiency with decontamination and mitigation techniques.
• Independently manages own work and maintain vehicle safety and documentation.
• Attend BELFOR University training as required.
