Job summary

Actalent in Reno, NV seeks a Construction Estimator to lead detailed budgets, estimates, and bid proposals for multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will conduct quantity takeoffs, review drawings, and develop costed scopes to ensure competitive proposals.

You will coordinate with preconstruction, operations, and business development, manage multiple estimates, and present findings to owners and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive estimating experience.
• Experience estimating multifamily, commercial, mixed-use or similarly complex projects.
• Ability to independently manage estimates from initial review through submission.
• Proficiency in quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, pricing strategies and bid evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed budgets, estimates, bid proposals and conceptual pricing for various projects.
• Review drawings, specs and documents to perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
• Develop clear scopes of work, identify gaps, risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier proposals, manage bid collection and documentation.
• Analyze bids for coverage, pricing, and alignment with scope.
• Collaborate with BD, Operations and Preconstruction teams throughout pursuit.
• Present estimate findings professionally to owners and subcontractors.
