Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, or a related construction role.
• Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and quantity takeoffs.
• Ability to develop accurate and detailed cost estimates and project budgets.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfortable communicating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, bids, and proposals for prospective construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction documents.
• Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Coordinate procurement and bidding activities throughout the preconstruction process.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Communicate with owners, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Assist with the transition from preconstruction to construction.
• Manage multiple estimates, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
• Support the development of accurate, competitive, and well-planned project solutions.
• Ensure estimates align with project goals and client expectations.
