Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator in Seattle to perform cost analysis, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparation for diverse construction projects. You will research labor, material, and equipment costs while preparing OPCCs and coordinating with subcontractors and project teams.

The role includes producing submittals, handling RFIs, and assisting with purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders. A strong focus on accuracy and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating and cost analysis.
• Ability to prepare OPCCs and cost estimates for design-build projects.
• Familiarity with historical data, bids, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks and quantity take-offs.
• Research costs for labor, materials and equipment; compile price lists.
• Prepare OPCCs and participate in bid-day tabulations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers.
• Assist in developing purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Review drawings, specifications, and prepare field documentation.
