Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator to support project cost planning across our construction projects. You will perform quantity take-offs, develop Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC), and research labor/material costs to inform bid strategy.

You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and the procurement team to gather current pricing and deliver timely estimates for bid submissions and project budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of related estimating experience.
• Travel 10% or less may be required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Utilize Timberline to prepare OPCCs for design-build projects.
• Research historical data and compile reports to guide estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement for current pricing.
• Assist in pre-bid walks and Bid-Day quote tabulations.
• Prepare schedules and financial analyses for reports.
