Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a construction estimator to perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks across diverse projects. You will use Timberline to prepare OPCCs and support project teams with cost data, pricing reviews, and bid preparations.

The role requires collaboration with PMs, procurement, and site personnel, along with contributing to scheduling and reporting. Qualified candidates hold an Engineering/Construction Management degree and have at least 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of related estimating experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks, including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) using Timberline.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement for pricing and submittals.
• Assist in pre-bid activities and bid-day quote tabulations.
• Develop project schedules and conduct financial analyses for reporting.
