Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator to perform basic to moderately complex cost estimation tasks across construction projects in the United States. You will conduct quantity take-offs, price research, and prepare material lists to support OPCCs and design-build bids.

The role includes collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and field staff to ensure accurate cost projections and timely bid preparations. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Good ability to identify moderately complex problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Excellent computation skills; read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including take-offs, material price lists, and cost research.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare OPCC and design-build project estimates.
• Prepares and reviews submittals and coordinates with project managers and suppliers.
