Qualifications

• Experience managing staff and programs in public works
• Strong decision-making and stakeholder coordination skills
• Familiarity with construction contracts, design phase involvement, and field inspection

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement construction management SOPs to ensure execution is consistent and effective
• Lead organizational change management initiatives within construction engineering
• Supervise field inspectors, resident engineers, and project managers assigned to programs
• Develop KPIs to monitor contract administration, review progress reports, payments, and final quantities
• Create guides and tools to determine Change Order entitlement and support documentation
• Coordinate with SPU divisions, City Departments, and external stakeholders
• Act as liaison among consultants, contractors, suppliers and City agencies
• Develop trainings and tools for pre-submittal, pre-construction conferences, and team meetings
