Job summary

Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to act as a project engineer on high-priority municipal public works and utility projects. You will supervise and perform senior-level civil engineering work across planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance, reporting to the Civil Engineer, Supervisor.

You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, lead technically complex projects, support hydro-related programs, and prepare design criteria,

Qualifications

Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Washington is required.
Current Washington State driver's license or equivalent mobility.

Responsibilities

Coordinate work with multiple engineering disciplines and units.
Lead or serve as project engineer on technically complex projects involving several design specialties.
Support programs and perform engineering studies, analyses, and design work.
Prepare design plans, reports, calculations, and models for civil projects.
Prepare cost estimates and feasibility studies for public works and utility improvements.
Prepare specifications, plans, schedules, and final project reports.
Oversee contractors, agencies, and utility crews; manage consultant/ construction contracts.
