Job summary

TYLin in New York City seeks a Senior Construction Engineer for a NYCHA construction project scheduled to begin January 2027. The role requires oversight of filing, submittals, RFIs, payments and progress reporting, with collaboration across clients, design teams and inspectors.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and 6+ years of construction/inspection experience on transportation projects, with OSHA 30 or CMIT/Track Safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish project filing system per client requirements and manage electronic filing.
• Log and manage project submittals, RFIs and correspondence.
• Create meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
• Review and file project daily reports.
• Prepare monthly progress payments and change orders.
• Prepare weekly and monthly CCM progress reports.
• Accurately track change order payments.
• Log and track material inspection, certification and acceptance.
• Coordinate with all team members, clients, A/E.C teams, and inspection teams.
