Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer to support a NYCHA construction project in New York City, scheduled to begin January 2027. The role focuses on field inspection, project documentation, and coordination with clients and design teams to deliver constructible, resilient infrastructure solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a civil engineering degree, 6+ years of transportation project experience, and OSHA/Track Safety training preferences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar A/E/C degree.
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the inspection and construction of transportation projects.
OSHA 30-hour safety course preferred.
CMIT and Track Safety Training preferred.

Responsibilities

Establish project filing system in accordance with client requirements and manage electronic filing system.
Log and manage project submittals, RFI’s and correspondence.
Create meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
Review and file project daily reports.
Prepare monthly progress payments.
Prepare change orders.
Prepare CCM progress reports weekly and monthly.
Accurately track change order payments.
Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project.
Coordinate with all other team members, clients, A.E teams and special Inspection teams.
