Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer to support a NYCHA construction project in New York City, slated to begin January 2027. The role emphasizes rigorous project documentation, submittals, RFIs, and progress reporting on a transportation-related site, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar A/E/C degree.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in inspection and construction of transportation projects.
• OSHA 30-hour safety course preferred.
• CMIT and Track Safety Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish project filing system and manage electronic filing.
• Log and manage submittals, RFIs, and correspondence.
• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
• Review and file daily reports; prepare monthly CCM progress reports.
• Prepare monthly progress payments and change orders.
• Track change order payments and material inspections.
• Coordinate with team members, clients, A.E teams and inspection teams.
