Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer (Nuclear / Power / Industrial) to lead field construction activities on large greenfield projects. You will provide technical oversight, plan work-package execution, and drive constructability, safety, and quality in a multi-contractor setting.

The role requires a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise and strong mentoring, communication, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical engineering or related field.
15+ years of professional experience; 8+ years in field/construction on nuclear/power/industrial projects.
Experience leading multi-contractor construction teams and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
Knowledge of construction codes (ACI, AISC, AWS, ASME B31, NFPA 70) and nuclear quality frameworks (NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B).

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and technical oversight for field and construction engineering on large nuclear, power, or industrial projects.
Plan and execute work-package-based construction aligned with project requirements and schedules.
Perform constructability reviews to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
Manage field change processes with proper documentation and approvals.
Ensure compliance with codes and standards to achieve safe, high-quality construction.
Mentor technical staff and coordinate with contractors and design teams.
Support site access requirements and mandatory screenings.
Communicate status and technical results clearly in reports and field docs.
