Job summary

Great American Insurance Group in Cincinnati seeks a Senior Construction Defect Claims Specialist to lead complex property and construction defect claims. You will investigate, assess coverage and liability, and guide cases toward settlements with strong analytical and negotiation skills.

The role requires 10+ years in property/casualty claims with construction defect experience; CPCU or AIC is preferred. On-site work four days a week with some travel to support other lines as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in property and casualty claims.
• Construction defect experience required.
• Professional designation preferred (AIC/CPCU).

Responsibilities

• Manages a book of claims including construction defect and property claims of significant size or complexity.
• Conducts thorough investigations, assesses coverage and liability, and formulates strategic approaches to claim resolution.
• Participates in arbitrations, mediations, settlements, or trials as needed.
• Negotiates settlements within authority and escalates cases beyond personal authority as required.
• Communicates complex information to all stakeholders in a professional manner.
• Ensures compliance with statutes, regulations, and company policies.
