Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Claims Specialist in Cincinnati. The role focuses on handling a growing book of property and construction defect claims, with potential involvement in Ocean Marine and Aviation.

Candidates should be prepared to cross-train across lines and pursue licensure where needed. The position is based in Cincinnati with on-site days four per week and one remote day, with travel to Cincinnati as required for remote candidates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in property and casualty claims including general liability or property claims litigation.
• Construction defect claims experience required.
• Completion of or progress toward a professional designation (AIC or CPCU) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manages a book of claims, including construction defect and property claims with size/complexity.
• Conduct thorough investigations; assess coverage and liability; formulate resolution strategies.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences or trials as needed.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and advise supervisors on cases beyond authority.
• Communicate complex information to all parties professionally; ensure compliance with laws and company procedures.
• Serve as technical expert on product(s) and provide recommendations to executive management.
