Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to adjudicate complex construction defect claims from one of several offices (Albany, Chicago, LA, NYC, Omaha, Richmond) or fully remote with geographic restrictions. This 100% in-office role requires on-site presence during standard business hours.

You will oversee high-value claims, perform detailed analyses, and coordinate expert resources to drive profitable outcomes for clients while aligning with Argo

Qualifications

• Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor's degree required; designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions; ability to obtain licenses quickly in required jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims at high authority limits with complex technical impact.
• Gather information, analyze, and investigate to resolve issues.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Determine coverage by analyzing policies, endorsements, and client instructions.
• Investigate promptly, interview involved parties, and manage claims in litigation.
• Set reserves considering policy wordings and impact on reserving.
• Coordinate expertise resources to support case resolution.
• Prepare reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Negotiate complex settlements within authority with cost-effective outcomes.
