Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to adjudicate complex construction defect claims from designated offices or fully remote where allowed, with on-site presence required. This role focuses on high-stakes decisions, risk assessment, and driving profitable outcomes for clients.

Office-based positions are available in Albany, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, or Richmond, with potential for remote work outside specified states.

Qualifications

• Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor's degree required; professional designations or 4 extra years may substitute for the degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions; ability to obtain others within 3 months of hire.
• Strong business acumen and client relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex construction defect claims with high authority limits.
• Gather information, analyze andInvestigate issues to resolution.
• Report trends to senior management and underwriters.
• Evaluate policy coverage and endorsements for losses.
• Manage claims in litigation and keep diaries for timely resolution.
• Set reserves considering policy wordings and loss drivers.
• Coordinate expertise resources for case resolution.
• Negotiate complex settlement packages within authority.
• Communicate with insured and claimants; maintain professional correspondence.
