Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to adjudicate complex construction defect claims from multiple US offices or fully remote in eligible states. This role requires deep technical knowledge, leadership, and strong collaboration with underwriters and clients.

The position is 100% in-office with preference for office locations in Albany, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, or Richmond; remote work possible except in AK, DE, HI, KY, MI,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for degree.
Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000+.
Licenses in multiple jurisdictions with ability to obtain others within 120 days.

Responsibilities

Adjudicate construction defect claims at high complexity under limited oversight.
Report trends to senior management and underwriters.
Analyze forms/policies to determine coverage.
Investigate promptly and thoroughly with involved parties.
Manage claims in litigation and set reserves.
Coordinate expertise resources to assist in case resolution.
Prepare reports and negotiate complex settlements.
