Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Senior Construction Technical Claims Specialist Team Lead to manage complex construction defect claims from our offices in Albany, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Omaha, or Richmond. A fully remote option is available with some state restrictions.

The role requires adjudicating high-value claims, leading a team, and maintaining strong client relationships. In-office presence is required five days a week to strengthen culture and drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Seven years' experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor's degree required; two or more designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for degree.
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions; ability to obtain additional licenses within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate construction defect claims at highest authority limits with technical complexity.
• Conduct information gathering, analysis and investigation to resolve issues.
• Report on claims trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Investigate claims promptly, interview involved parties and manage claims in litigation.
• Set reserves considering policy wordings and loss drivers; coordinate resources for case resolution.
