CLA is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to join our CAAS team in Illinois. You will support construction-industry clients by managing client accounting tasks and ensuring accurate monthly and year-end close processes.

Requirements include 2 years of accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree. The Illinois wage range for this role is $65,100–$117,000, with competitive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting/financial experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree required; combination of experience and education may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of each client’s business operations and manages multiple clients.
• Leads coordination of accounts payable, cash disbursements, receivables, and payroll transactions.
• Reviews reconciliations (prepaids, AR, fixed assets, accruals) and prepares/assesses financial statements.
• Performs quarterly/annual tasks including sales tax returns and Form 1099s.
• Oversees workflow and quality of Associates and Analysts, ensuring accuracy.
• Assists with internal audits, due diligence, and other consultative projects.
