Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate for the Construction Industry to join our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) group in Illinois. You will support client accounting, month-end processing, and tax workpapers, coordinating accounts payable, receivable, payroll entries, and financial statement review.

The role requires 2 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree, with potential to supervise Associates and contribute to quarterly/annual

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of each client’s business/organization operations and manages multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts.
• Leads coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and payroll postings.
• Coordinates and reviews account reconciliations; prepares and reviews financial statements; proactive process/documentation improvement.
• Completes sales tax returns and Form 1099s and prepares audit workpapers and other client forms.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts; supervise and ensure efficiency and quality of work.
• Assists with internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
