CLA is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate - Construction Industry to join our CAAS group in Illinois. You will manage client accounting tasks, month-end close, and payroll postings while coordinating with multiple clients to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of each client's business/organization operations and manages multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts.
• Leads coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and payroll postings.
• Coordinates and reviews account reconciliations and prepares/reviews financial statements and general ledger analysis.
• Completes sales tax returns and Form 1099s and prepares audit workpapers and other client items.
• Oversees workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts; supervises staff to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Assists with internal audit, due diligence, and other consultative projects.
