Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Engineer to shape the MK1 Cargo Lander architecture and own the current vehicle’s configuration baseline. You will lead cross-disciplinary trade studies, balance cost, performance, and manufacturability, and drive integration across Structures, Fluids, Thermal, GN&C, Avionics, and Manufacturing.

You will mentor engineers and champion CM best practices. The role requires 10+ years in spacecraft/mechanical design, strong CAD skills

Qualifications

• Demonstrated configuration control experience in aerospace/launch vehicle domains.
• Strong cross-functional influence and consensus-building abilities.
• 3-D CAD and visualization proficiency; ability to critique design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-disciplinary architecture trades and define long-term MK1 Cargo Lander evolution.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for MK1 architecture improvements and cost savings.
• Own configuration management for the current MK1 baseline across subsystems.
