Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Configuration Engineer to shape the MK1 Cargo Lander architecture and own the configuration baseline across subsystems. You will lead cross-disciplinary trades, mentor engineers, and ensure coherent design and documentation as part of a tight-knit team driving spaceflight progress.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering with 8+ years for MS or 10+ years for BS in spacecraft/launch vehicle design.
• Deep knowledge in vehicle structural/mechanical/cryogenic upper stage design.
• Experience leading architecture-level or vehicle-level trade studies.
• Experience with configuration control on aerospace products from concept to flight.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-disciplinary trade studies to shape MK1 Cargo Lander evolution.
• Own configuration management for current MK1 baseline across subsystems.
• Lead ECR reviews ensuring technical accuracy and baselines integrity.
• Define/maintain interfaces between subsystems and model-based definitions.
• Mentor engineers and drive alignment across disciplines on configuration decisions.
