Job summary

Actalent seeks a Concrete Superintendent to oversee Southeast Michigan concrete operations, directing self-perform crews, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining schedules with a strong safety and quality focus.

You will liaise with General Contractors and Construction Managers while managing manpower, materials, equipment, and documentation from layout through completion on commercial and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Concrete Superintendent.
• Experience supervising self-perform concrete crews in the field.
• Concrete supervision on commercial/industrial/heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Strong communication with GCs, CMs, and PMs.
• Experience with daily reporting and manpower planning.
• Lead daily safety meetings and enforce safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise concrete field crews on commercial, industrial and heavy civil projects.
• Coordinate with General Contractors and Construction Managers.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
• Attend project coordination and progress meetings to align field activities.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA requirements on site.
• Track labor productivity and job costs, reporting variances.
• Document daily progress and site conditions through daily reports.
• Oversee concrete operations from layout through placement and finishing.
