Job summary

McHugh Concrete Construction, Inc. in the Greater Chicago Area seeks a Project Executive to lead day-to-day management of assigned concrete projects and units, drive profitability, and pursue new opportunities.

You will oversee safety, schedule, budget, and client relationships, reporting to the executive team and coordinating with project engineers and staff. The role requires a 4-year degree in engineering or construction management, and ten or more years in construction and financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management or related field.
• Ten+ years of progressive experience in construction and management.
• Concrete construction experience strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as overall owner of safety, productivity, schedule, and relationships on each project.
• Identify and manage project risks related to contracts, scope, safety, and finances.
• Align project team with company goals and ensure compliance with terms.
• Negotiate contract terms and approve subcontract and purchase orders.
• Develop budgets, plan staffing, and oversee project execution and closeout.
• Oversee invoicing, cost reporting, and change order management.
• Mentor junior staff and foster talent development.
• Market concrete services and maintain client relationships.
