Job summary

Centex Materials is seeking a seasoned sales leader to promote concrete and aggregate products across the Austin market. You will cultivate new customers and strengthen relationships with major accounts to position Centex Materials as the supplier of choice.

Responsibilities include pricing strategy, quote approvals, backlog forecasting, and driving revenue growth while coordinating with dispatch, operations, and QA. Strong leadership and market analysis are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in construction management, business, or engineering.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent customer service skills; dedication to meeting internal and external customers.
• Flexible and able to balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of construction and concrete/aggregate products; understanding of market, competition and opportunities.
• Excellent leadership; motivate others and provide actionable feedback.
• Strategic business focus with ability to anticipate trends.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to navigate Command Alkon, APEX, and Sales tools.

Responsibilities

• Promote the sale of concrete and aggregate products with customers and major accounts.
• Cultivate new customers that view Centex Materials as their supplier of choice.
• Establish and manage market area pricing strategies and quotes; approve significant project quotes.
• Lead annual price increases and manage backlog, forecasting, and profitability by market area.
• Drive development of local marketing plans and collaborate with area leadership for growth.
• Oversee routing with dispatch, operations, and QA to meet sales and service objectives.
• Mentor and develop sales team members; conduct performance evaluations and merit reviews.
• Lead budgeting and strategic assessments; analyze market dynamics and competitive trends.
