Job summary

Centex Materials is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily ready-mix concrete production, dispatch, delivery, and quality control. You will lead plant, dispatch, drivers, and field operations, driving productivity, cost control, and customer satisfaction across projects.

You will ensure safety compliance, manage staffing, and coordinate with sales and project managers to meet schedules and quality standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ready-mix concrete, construction materials, aggregates, asphalt, or related industry.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of ready-mix concrete production, batching, dispatch, and delivery operations.
• Knowledge of concrete quality-control principles and ASTM/AASHTO or applicable industry standards.
• Understanding of DOT, OSHA, environmental, and workplace-safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ready-mix concrete operations, including batching, dispatching, delivery, and plant activities.
• Supervise dispatch personnel, batch plant operators, drivers, and other operations staff.
• Monitor delivery schedules and resolve delays, scheduling conflicts, equipment issues, and customer concerns.
• Coordinate with sales, project managers, contractors, and customers to ensure timely concrete deliveries.
• Ensure concrete is produced according to approved mix designs, specifications, and quality standards.
