Job summary

PMAT Inc. seeks a highly experienced Computer Engineer to provide senior-level technical leadership for hardware and computing solutions supporting global robotics and autonomous systems.

You will lead the design, acquisition, integration, and deployment of enterprise and edge computing infrastructure across DoW locations. The role requires strong engineering expertise, hardware lifecycle management, and the ability to deliver mission-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in computer engineering and hardware engineering.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience designing and deploying enterprise hardware solutions.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, evaluation, acquisition, integration, and deployment of computing hardware and software for enterprise, edge, robotics, and autonomous systems.
• Coordinate teams responsible for hardware acquisition, integration, testing, installation, and sustainment at DoW locations worldwide.
• Develop innovative computing solutions for operational requirements using small-form-factor computers, mobile servers, and edge platforms.
• Support IT and hardware architectures, system implementations, and technology refreshes.
• Manage engineering schedules, hardware acquisitions, and integration milestones to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain hardware inventories, lifecycle status, and deployment information for modernization.
• Create detailed engineering documentation: hardware designs, configurations, BOMs, procedures, and specs.
• Provide senior technical guidance and troubleshoot complex hardware/software/infrastructure challenges.
• Plan and execute installations, upgrades, and new capability implementations while meeting tech, cybersecurity, interoperability standards.
