Job summary

NBT seeks a Compliance Specialist III to prepare complex compliance filings and government submissions. You will review filings, mentor teammates, and ensure accuracy within department standards. Strong calculators, Excel and Word skills, plus the QKA credential, are required.

You will handle Form 5500 work, testing compliance, and support senior plans consultants. This role emphasizes accuracy, independence, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus 5+ years related experience or equivalent.
• ASPPA QKA designation required.
• Experience interpreting retirement plans and government filings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex compliance tests and year-end packages.
• Prepare Form 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA and other regulatory forms.
• Maintain knowledge of moderate-to-complex plan types and perform testing.
• Research and resolve testing and 5500 issues; mentor others.
• Prepare plan documents and assist with allocations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
