Job summary

NBT Bank is seeking a Compliance Specialist III to prepare complex compliance and government filings and mentor teammates. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to procedures, and collaboration across the department.

Qualifications include an Associate degree with 5+ years of experience and a QKA designation. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required to support retirement plan filings and client service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus 5+ years related experience or equivalent.
• ASPPA QKA designation required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex compliance tests and year-end packages incl. eligibility, allocations, testing and reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and publish Form 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA and other regulatory forms; assist large filer plans.
• Maintain knowledge of moderate-to-complex retirement plans and resolve testing/5500 issues.
• Mentor team members and develop processes with managers to improve service standard.
