Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Sr Designated Compliance Analyst SDCA in California. This exempt role reports to the Manager - Lending Compliance Advisory Services within Corporate Compliance and requires deep regulatory expertise across consumer protection laws.

You will partner with business units to develop and oversee compliance policies, implement controls, and provide second-line advisory support. The position focuses on consumer protection, privacy, and data protection obligations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 7+ years in consumer protection regulatory compliance or related fields.
• Experience with GLBA/Regulation P, FCRA, and CCPA/CPRA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze applicable federal and state regulations (e.g., Reg Z, Reg B, HMDA, ECOA, TILA, RESPA).
• Provide 2LOD advisory and oversight on consumer privacy and data protection requirements (GLBA/Reg P, FCRA, CPRA).
• Deliver proactive compliance guidance to business units (1LOD) through projects and reviews.
• Analyze new or amended regulations and communicate changes to 1LOD with 2LOD oversight.
• Develop corporate compliance policies and provide alignment confirmations to 1LOD teams.
• Participate in risk assessment campaigns as SME, offering check & challenge to 1LOD teams.
• Develop compliance training content focused on high-risk areas.
• Review and resolve complex, high-risk compliance-related complaints from members.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulators.
• Understand core business activities to guide 1LOD and support the Compliance Program.
• Collaborate with other compliance teams to harmonize approaches.
• Assist regulators during exams, audits, and regulatory interactions.
• Provide guidance on high-risk projects and initiatives.
