Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Sr Compliance Independent Testing Analyst to perform independent testing of compliance controls and to support risk management initiatives. This exempt role reports to the Manager - Compliance Independent Testing in Corporate Compliance and participates in planning, fieldwork and reporting with limited supervision.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 7+ years in financial services compliance, internal audits, or related programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
• 7+ years Financial Services experience in consumer protection regulatory compliance, internal audit, external audit, financial services operations, or consumer protection compliance program development/evaluation required

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent compliance testing to assess effectiveness of policies, procedures, and controls.
• Participate in planning, fieldwork, and reporting with limited supervision.
• Lead testing approach development and supporting workpapers for complex regulatory requirements.
• Complete assigned reviews within time and budget goals.
• Prepare findings and management action plans with corrective actions.
• Document findings in accordance with the Credit Union’s process.
• Perform follow-up to validate remediation activities and issue closure.
• Support and guide newer team members and participate in special projects.
