NBT Bank seeks a Compliance Specialist III to prepare complex compliance and government filings in line with company standards. The role includes mentoring peers and reviewing filings for accuracy.

Education includes an Associate's degree with 5+ years of related experience and the ASPPA QKA designation. Strong MS Office skills and mathematical proficiency are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Associates degree + 5+ years related experience or equivalent
• ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation required

Responsabilités

• Prepare compliance tests and year end packages, review plan eligibility and contributions.
• Prepare, review, and publish Form 5500, Form 5330, Form 8955-SSA and other regulatory forms; reconcile filings for large filer plans.
• Maintain knowledge of moderate complexity plans and expand to more complex plans.
• Research and resolve testing and 5500 issues; mentor team members and improve processes.
• Prepare asset reconciliation and research differences for valuation, testing and reporting.
• Prepare outside asset and balance forward allocations and participant validations.
• Prepare Plan Documents (Restatements, Amendments, SPDs, SMMs and Notices).
• Assist with QDRO allocations and corrective earnings calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
