Job summary

NBT Bank in Wisconsin seeks a Compliance Specialist III responsible for preparing increasingly complex compliance and government filings within company service standards. You will review filings and mentor other team members.

The role requires an Associates degree with 5+ years of related experience and the ASPPA QKA designation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word, strong math, and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 5+ years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation required.
• Ability to read and interpret retirement documents and government instructions.
• Ability to write reports and emails/correspondence and collaborate across the company.
• Advanced math skills including fractions, percentages, and ratios.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compliance tests and year end packages with plan eligibility and contribution calculations.
• Prepare and publish Form 5500, 5330, 8955-SSA and related regulatory forms.
• Maintain knowledge of complex plans and assist with testing and plan valuations.
• Research and resolve testing and 5500 issues; mentor team members.
• Prepare asset reconciliations and asset allocations as needed.
• Assist with plan documents, SPDs, and notices.
