Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Senior Complex Claims Specialist-Professional Liability to manage high-severity professional liability and specialty claims, including MPLI, A&E, Allied Health, and Media. The role requires leadership in investigations, negotiations, and coordination with outside counsel and underwriters.

The incumbent mentors teammates, develops training materials, and contributes to claims strategy in a dynamic, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Professional Liability and/or Specialty claims handling experience.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school may supplement claims experience.
• Proven ability to affect high-severity outcomes through investigation, negotiation, and litigation leadership.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-severity Professional Liability and Specialty claims from inception to resolution.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to the claims team.
• Lead investigations, negotiations, and strategic litigation planning as required.
