Job summary

Bellwether Staffing is seeking a Complex Claims A&E Professional to manage mid- to high-severity Professional Liability claims through resolution. This role can be remote or hybrid (2 days in) if located near one the US offices, with Hartford, CT within commutable range.

You will analyze claim documentation, coordinate with insureds, attorneys and brokers, and drive favorable outcomes through investigation, negotiation, and ADR methods. Mediations/arbitrations/trials experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional liability and/or A&E claims handling.
• Proven success in influencing complex claim outcomes through thorough investigation, negotiation, and effective leadership during litigation.
• Advanced expertise in coverage related to professional claims.
• Deep understanding of litigation processes and strong negotiation abilities.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical capabilities.
• Capacity to advance product innovation or expand knowledge across business areas through cross-functional training or projects.
• Exhibits confidence and sound judgment when addressing complex or high-severity issues with insureds, attorneys, and brokers.
• Experience in attending and leading mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review claim documentation, legal filings and draft coverage analysis.
• Handle and resolve complex claims, including mediation, settlement conferences and manage all stages of litigation.
• Drive litigation best practices to support defense strategies on litigated matters.
• Apply expert knowledge and experience to achieve favorable claim outcomes through investigation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Identify emerging exposures and trends.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive claim files in compliance with company policy and relevant regulations.
