Jonus Group is seeking a Senior Claims Representative - Professional Liability to join a dynamic team. This full-time, 100% remote role offers exposure to MPL claim management across litigated and non-litigated matters, with opportunities to lead resolution strategies and collaborate with defense counsel.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years handling MPL claims, with at least 2 years on MPL desk and a BA/BS. Industry designations such as AIC, SCLA, or CPCU are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Industry designations such as AIC, SCLA, or CPCU are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of professional liability claims experience.
• At least 2 years handling MPL claims (litigated and non-litigated).
• At least 1 year managing a litigated desk.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active desk of litigated and non-litigated MPL claims.
• Evaluate coverage issues, identify risk transfer opportunities, and reserve adequacy.
• Oversee litigation with experts, planning, budgeting, and defense counsel.
• Develop resolution strategies including settlement valuation and authority.
• Participate in mediations and other claim-resolution activities.
• Maintain adjuster licenses and regulatory compliance.
• Document claim files per guidelines.
• Manage allocated loss adjustment expenses with billing unit.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel occasionally for mediations, trainings, trials, or meetings.

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Claims Representative - Professional Liability to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing litigated and non-litigated claims of varying complexity under miscellaneous professional liability (MPL) coverages. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Manage an active desk of litigated and non-litigated claims under miscellaneous professional liability coverages.
• Evaluate coverage issues, identify risk transfer opportunities, and ensure adequate and timely reserves.
• Oversee litigation by selecting appropriate experts, planning, budgeting, and collaborating with defense counsel.
• Develop and implement resolution strategies, including settlement valuation and obtaining settlement authority.
• Actively participate in mediations and other claim resolution activities as needed.
• Maintain adjuster licenses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Document claim files in accordance with established guidelines.
• Manage allocated loss adjustment expenses through strategic handling and coordination with the billing unit.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Occasionally travel to attend mediations, trainings, trials, or related meetings.

• Experience as an Employment Practices Liability (EPL) attorney or handling Errors & Omissions (E&O) claims is highly desirable.
