Job summary

AIG is seeking a Complex Claims Director for Management Liability to manage the most severe D&O claims, with potential exposure in Employment Practices and Fiduciary Liability. You will supervise investigations, strategize resolution, and negotiate with leading plaintiff attorneys nationwide, while coordinating with senior management.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in complex claims, excellent communication, and robust ADR/mediation experience, with multi-state licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience handling complex insurance claims, litigation or related experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and strong negotiation skills.
• Advanced experience in litigation claims management including ADR and mediation processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of high-severity D&O claims, with potential Employment Practices Liability and Fiduciary Liability claims.
• Investigate, evaluate, and disposition new and existing Directors & Officers Liability claims.
• Communicate with insureds, brokers and underwriters to guide expectations and strategy.
• Negotiate multi-million dollar claims with top plaintiff attorneys and document the strategy.
