AIG is seeking a Complex Director in Excess Claims to lead large, multi‑party property and casualty cases. You will oversee investigation, evaluation, and disposition, review coverage, direct litigation strategy, and present recommendations to senior management with an emphasis on fair, efficient outcomes.

This NY‑based role offers base salary ranges and bonus eligibility; 8+ years of claims experience, Property & Casualty licenses, and exceptional negotiation and litigation skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Commercial/Industry claims experience.
• Property & Casualty licenses required, must be obtained within 6 months.
• Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine scope and extent of coverage.
• Investigate, evaluate and disposition 3rd party property and casualty claims.
• Prepare and execute investigation strategies affecting liability and damages.
• Communicate with insureds, brokers, attorneys, and claimants clearly.
• Document exposure evaluation and resolution strategy.
• Present claim disposition recommendations to senior management.
• Negotiate multimillion-dollar claims with top plaintiffs attorneys; guide litigation.
• Budget and manage defense and coverage counsel ground rules.
