Job summary

BP in Houston seeks an experienced Completion/Well Intervention Engineer to optimize completion designs and support field operations. You will collaborate with engineering and field teams to deliver efficient, compliant completion programs and improve production through robust planning and design concepts.

The role requires a strong background in unconventional onshore wells, coil tubing, and artificial lift, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering.
• 6+ years in completion or well intervention engineering.
• Experience with coil tubing, workover and wireline in unconventional onshore wells.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve completion designs, methods, learnings, and technology.
• Deliver compliant completions procedures per policies and regulations.
• Develop wellbore designs and frac modeling.
• Collaborate with asset teams to support environmental goals (low carbon completion tech).
• Support budgeting, SoR, AFE, supplements, and invoice resolution.
