Job summary

BPX Energy, a BP subsidiary, seeks an experienced Completion Engineer to optimize onshore well programs in Texas. You will lead design optimization, collaborate with field and engineering teams, and ensure adherence to policies while improving efficiency.

Responsibilities include wellbore designs, frac modeling, and supporting environmental goals such as low carbon completion and water recycling. Travel up to 10% and a hybrid office/field arrangement are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in completion or well intervention engineering.
• Extensive planning and execution with coil tubing, workover, and wireline for unconventional onshore wells.
• Strong ability to analyze unconventional well performance and optimize reservoir delivery.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve current completion designs, methods, learnings, and technology.
• Deliver compliant completions procedures per policies and regulations.
• Prepare activity sets and performance plans with continuous improvement.
• Assist in wellbore designs and frac modeling.
• Support environmental aims, including low carbon completion tech and water recycling.
• Collaborate across teams and conduct field visits to execute programs.
