Job summary

Alera Group, Inc. is seeking a Compensation Consultant to design and build scalable compensation programs for a growing national organization.

You will report to the Vice President, Compensation and lead initiatives from discovery through implementation, including career paths, job architecture and national pay practices. You will partner with leaders to develop recommendations, research market practices, and translate designs into actionable business requirements, working with HRIS and Workday

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in broad-based compensation, job architecture, compensation consulting or a closely related field.
• Independent design and implementation of compensation solutions in a complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of compensation principles, salary structures, market pricing, job evaluation and internal equity.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead complex compensation projects from discovery through design and implementation.
• Develop career paths, job levels and progression frameworks aligned with salary ranges.
• Facilitate working sessions with leaders, SMEs and HR partners to clarify needs and reach decisions.
• Research market practices and analyze compensation data to inform recommendations.
• Design compensation programs, policies and tools and translate designs into business requirements.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, HRIS and Learning & Development to implement solutions.
