Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Compensation Administrator to support the compensation program, including the annual bonus and merit processes, pay range reviews, and job description maintenance. This role collaborates with HR teams to ensure competitive pay practices and compliance with wage laws.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in HR with 2+ years supporting compensation, excels in data analysis, and can prepare market analyses and salary surveys. Hybrid work from our Issaquah, WA office is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of education or equivalent experience in HR or related field including 2+ years supporting a Compensation function
• PHR-HRCI or equivalent certification preferred
• CCP - Certified Compensation Professional preferred
• General understanding of wage and hour laws and compensation practices including FLSA compliance guidelines
• Advanced Excel knowledge; ability to create comprehensive spreadsheets and databases; PowerBI experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent research skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Conduct market trend analyses and prepare statistical reports to support recommendations for attracting, retaining, and rewarding employees.
• Provide pay grades, ranges and data for new positions, hires, promotions, etc.
• Research and analyze to ensure pay plans remain competitive; recommend adjustments and enhancements.
• Prepare salary survey submissions, market assessments and analyses.
• Administer the annual merit and bonus process including data management and training.
• Maintain the job description library; draft/update job descriptions and classify jobs.
• Create reports and presentations for HR Leadership.
• Support HRIS team in compensation data setup and system capabilities.
• Assist in resolving routine compensation concerns and respond to questions from managers.
